Okay, tried some industrial grade sticky back velcro and the adhesive pulled away from the floor mat at high speeds. Who has some hacks for stopping the rear floor mats from flapping/ flying around when the doors are off? It's not a problem at 60mph but going down the freeway for at 75+ is no bueno.

Was going to leave the stock exhaust on… however it was driving me crazy that the Bronco basically had no exhaust sound! It was simply to quite! So had my daughter install the MRT exhaust. I went to the turn down tip so everything is nice and tucked away! Couldn’t be happier!!!

This weekend I managed to get stuck in a very mucky water hole east of Gladwin. We were out riding by ourselves. It immediately became apparent I was going to need help! Luckily I did have cell service with internet access. I reached out to two groups and they coordinated my rescue very quickly!!! I wanted to share these groups information in case you are aware. I was already a member of both. I highly recommend joining
The first is Offroad Recovery Portal. This is a nation wide group of volunteers the are very organized! They have an amazing system! There response was incredibly fast! Check them out at https://offroadportal.org They also have a phone number you can text just in case you don’t have internet access. We we are at it common that I can sent simple text messages but not be able to pull up a website.
The next group is a Facebook group called Michigan 4x4 Rescue. Great group of volunteers! They coordinated with Offroad Recovery Portal Check them out at https://m.facebook.com/groups/2325224567...tid=S66gvF
The volunteers stayed in constant contact and everything went like clockwork! I didn’t keep track of the time but I wasn’t stuck that long.
Now couple observations about the Bronco during all of this. I didn’t not go very fast into the water so the Bronco never stalled. At this point I decide just to let the Bronco idle. So I was out standing around waiting for help and generally kicking myself when the Bronco stopped running! I did panic for minute! Then I remembered there is a vehicle setting for a 30 minute idle timer! D’oah! Bronco started right back up!
Then I noticed the Bronco had gone to High Idle. Again my thought was now what’s wrong? First thing I noticed was a check engine light. More panicking. Deep breath. I look and see on the engine temp Gauge, there’s no bars! So when the Bronco restarted it tried to bring the cats up to operating temp as quickly as possible by increasing the idle speed but because they were in the water they weren’t heating up! So the Bronco stayed in high idle mode! I checked the engine code and it was a lean condition. Ok, so I can see that and I just cleared the code. Bronco stayed in high idle until it was out of the water. Soon as it was out idle returned to normal.
So while getting stuck was not something I wanted to do, the recovery experience with the above groups was simply amazing!!! Again I highly recommend joining these groups. Personally I also became a Patreon member for the Offroad Recovery Portal.
