Sleeping Platform
#1
In preparation for a three day “overland” trip, I wanted to build a flat surface for sleeping in the Bronco. I plan to bring a small tent, but just in case, I thought it would be good to have a flat platform to sleep on if it’s wet. This was built with a “scrap” 4’x4’x 1/2” treated plywood. I bought some indoor/outdoor carpet at Hone Depot and had the spray adhesive and staples in stock. Overall I am pretty happy with my solution for $33. I may tweak it a bit over time.

Nice! You putting down a small mattress, or does it butt up against the seat-backs well enough to just sleeping-bag it?

I'm still planning on going the hammock route.

I am going to try my thin closed cell foam pads and a sleeping bag , but I am old now, so probably an inflatable mattress of some sort.
