I have traditionally done my differentials and transfer case fluid service somewhere between 50-75k mile depending on how I use the vehicle and the recommended service intervals. After doing a decent amount of water crossings and the general off road use I subject the Bronco to, I decided 47k was a good time do do the service. Bottom line, everything looked great. Definitely did not need the service. Some minor metal sludge on the magnets, but the diff fluid looked perfect in both diffs. The transfer case fluid was a bit dark, but smelled and felt fine. It’s peace of mind, but I will probably go more towards the 75k mile intervals in the future. I am going to have the transmission done at the dealer (just too much mess to do at home) but based on the transfer case, I’m not in a huge rush. Went with the factory recommendations on oil weights and synthetic vs. Dino oil.

Good to know.
I’m due for a brake, diff, and clutch fluid swap on the Corvette (it has 56k) and I was wondering where the Bronco would end up.
I’ll pencil in the transfer case and diffs for 75k. Did you do brake fluid swap yet? (Ford uses the same reservoir for the clutch so auto vs manual shouldn’t matter here really).
Transmission should be 100k service. But I just got a new one, so I’m not worried about that one (instead of doing the TSB my dealer got me a whole new unit).
I have not done the brake fluid swap. I was going to replace my pads and rotors front and rear and have the dealer do it.
