An open letter to MBC

An unfortunate confrontation took place on Friday, June 5 at the Bronco the Mac festivities involving myself and some MBC members. As can sometimes occur, what in other circumstances might have been a benign resolution quickly escalated into something destructive. I’d like to apologize to the MBC and take full responsibility for my actions and words that in hindsight I recognize were unfair and poorly stated. It took me a few days of reflection to come to terms with my behavior and to fully realize what occurred.
Additionally, I’d like to apologize to the organizers of the Saturday ride. I had reserved a spot with John’s intermediate group and then decided not to attend, perhaps taking the opportunity from someone else. Please know that I did so with the better of intentions as I felt that my presence might present a risk of further incident and I did not want to leave any new members of MBC with a poor impression of legacy members.
Finally, I’d like to apologize to Mike Armstrong for having put him in the awkward position of addressing these this issues with me and making it necessary to remind me of the MBC established rules of positive engagement and decorum.

Thank you

I was unaware of the confrontation in which you reference, but I appreciate the open letter acknowledging and apologizing for whatever took place. You could have just let it go with the conversation with Mike, but you chose a more mature route that shows respect to your fellow club members. So thank you.
