Newer to off-roading, did Off-Rodeo in Texas last year. Heading to Drummond Island in late June for my first time. Lots of information available about the trails on the island, but haven’t seen much on Turtle Ridge. Is it worth visiting? If you were spending a few days on the island would you spend time at both the park and exploring the island? Love to hear your suggestions for “can’t miss” trails and attractions.

Turtle Ridge is definitely worth a day. It can be some non stop features. You don’t go very far, but it’s back to back obstacles. We have only done the upper as a club.
You can do all of the main trials on the island. There are good maps on the DNR trails site and the Drummond Island visitors bureau website.
Avoid the tank traps (they should all have bypasses) and a couple of the trails can be wet, depending on rainfall.
We will do a club ride in September. It usually ends up 30-40 vehicles. We do one day in the park, a night ride and a day on the trails.
