Anymore infomation yet? Where are most people staying?

I’m camping in the Township campground.

What information are you looking for?

We found information from last year where there was a group rate offered at Drummond Island Resort. I was just wondering if that was going to be offered againt this year. Also is there going to be any sort of sign up for the trail rides like at Bronco on the Mac?

We have not worked with the resort to get a group discount for this year as most participants seem to be camping.

We don’t, generally, do Drummond Island sign-ups as there’s not as many people to manage. That said, we will be releasing a new tool soon…

Hi Kimi, we are staying at the Drummond Island Resort in the lodge: Lodge Style | Drummond Island Resort | Official Website

Thank you for the update. Looking forward to receiving additional information.

Robb, my husband and I have now booked a room at the Drummond Island Resort in the Lodge as well. Hope to see you there.

Thank you very much.

Hello All, Just curious… as this will be my first event. How do these typically go? Does everyone meet at a single trailhead or is more of your own choice of which trail to take and you kinda go on your own? Thanks, Shawn

For most events, this included, we have a central gathering spot and break off into groups to meet the DNR regulations. One day, we will go into the ORV Park and the other day, we will run trails.

After Silver Lake is wrapped up, I’ll be transitioning my time to some more of the details for Drummond Island and you’ll get more specific information about the rides, ride sign-up, etc.

Christal will get details out, but for reference, the DI resort/Pins Restaurant is a good pint to focus on for your lodging. We usually start there both days (10AM Friday and 9AM Saturday in the past) and for night runs (totally optional, but you gotta use this aftermarket lights once in a while). The resort is good, lots of rentals are available through Northwoods properties and a few campsites are open at the Trailhead campground as of yesterday. We typically air down for the entire weekend, so keep in mind if you rent something more to the west and you have to drive hard roads to the trailhead, you may have to air up and down a couple of times.

Hey Matt! Thanks for the info. So the group events are Friday and Saturday. Will we be using the hotel as a meeting point like last year? We had an informal trail ride to the north side of the island last year on Sunday AM. Also firepit time at the resort on Saturday night. Remember how great the Northern Lights were that night? So just trying to get a sense of the weekend schedule so I can make plans whether or not to join.

With Birthday Bash being over, we’ll be getting info out soon. We are pretty consistent with using the PINS Parking Lot as our rally point - it’s convenient and has plenty of space for us.

In general, the format is consistent from year-to-year: ORV Park Friday or Saturday, Trails opposite the ORV Park, dinner together and fire Saturday, informal ride Sunday (for whomever is available, though this isn’t structured or organized by the Club, but whatever members want to participate), and meeting at the PINS Parking lot for rides.
