I’m pretty sure youre supposed to do this with the glass down, but it makes it so much more difficult to deal with that way. Is it safe to throw some bungie cords around it to keep it in place when moving the shell around and storing it? does anyone have any better suggestions than a bungie, or maybe a ratchet strap? ..assuming its ok to do this of course.
I have never taken the rear shell off on my Bronco. I know I opened my LJ top when moving it removing it.
I have taken mine off, and I did it with the window open. But obviously, I put it down once stored. Maybe the reason for this, tho, was that I did it by myself and it helped balance it when I lifted it. If you left it down to take it off, I am sure it would stay in place for you, tho.
i was doing it with another person. it wasnt bad getting it off, but getting it back on the weight imbalance was messing us up as we lifted up. i think i found a hoist system that will work and is only about 200bucks all in.
another question i have for you, how do you get husky hair out of your bronco? my pup (lab mix) sheds like crazy, and i have a ring of hair around the back floor where the rubber mats dont cover.
Haha good question.
I use one of the gloves that you rub back and forth. Works pretty good. Good enough anyway, full well knowing it’s only going to last until the next ride.
Here is a generic link. I don’t remember which one exactly that we have.
oh dude, that s a great idea! ive seen those things but never tried one. already added to my cart. thanks bud!
