Solo Loadout

I’m heading to the cabin tomorrow morning and decided to take the Bronco. I plan to run some trails on the way, so I loaded up some gear. Pretty much the usual stuff (shovel, hand saw, basic tools and recovery gear). I added an electric chainsaw, traction boards and my old avalanche shovel from my snowmobile days out west. Hopefully I don’t need to use any of the gear, but it’s about everything I can bring to extract myself, other than a land anchor. What am I forgetting?

Tow rope? Think you’ve got a winch now, right?

I have a winch yes and a recovery strap. Now I worry I will get stuck with not tree nearby

Add a ground anchor :slightly_smiling_face:

I just looked at a couple. The pull pal is over $400, plus it’s really big to carry. Seems like something I would want to mount on a roof rack with a quick take off set up. Something new to contemplate :man_shrugging:t2:

I survived my trip. I actually went back out to enjoy the winter storm a bit after my uncles birthday party in Tawas.

Ok, I thought this came out pretty good. I finally came home, although I could have probably played around all night.

One more. I tried to climb the hill a few different ways. The last time was 4l everything locked. Oil hit 217, trans was over 200, but no issues. I have posted a bunch of videos from this spot.
